You are going to receive an official application confirmation, containing the data you transmitted in your application. This is usually going to happen within 24 hours, latest (when adverse circumstances occur) after latest a week). Only condition for the validity of your application is the compatibility with our netiquette.

After that we are going to send you the info of the most suitable the correspondance partner that shares your interests. At the same time, we'll forward your info to that new friend, and ask one of you to start the correspondance. If there is no reaction from your partner within a week or so (be patient during holiday times, please!), send a short message to your new friend to help start the conversation. If this also remains without success, please let us know. We will contact your partner in order to find out what is wrong.

Of course we cannot promise that every contact is going to work out: The actual corresponding back and forth must be done between the two of you!

We therefore ask you to only apply with our service if your are truly interested in starting a meaningful conversation on serious topics, in order to win a genuine and permanent friend.

That can have only one reason: Your input into the e-mail address field was wrong. (Maybe a typing error?) Unfortunately that is happening again and again! However, a correct eMail address is the only possibility for us to get in contact with you.

In case of an incorrect e-mail address, we of course try to investigate and use different variations of the submitted address, but that is about the most we can do. 

Applications which offend our netiquette are not integrated into our database. Nevertheless, the sender is going to receive a regarding message.

Basically because there's nothing similar around! We have searched the internet trying to find a contact service that could match up with our requirements for moral purity, but are accessible by anybody, regardless of their ethnic, political or religious background, and are not limited to special interest groups.

Our search was initially inspired by critical friends, who were not willing to share our excitement about the internet at all. The main reason for their hesitance was that "everything is bad on the internet, anyway - if not criminal then at least dirty." And sure enough, there is a lot of junk out there, even very bad stuff! So, we came up with the idea of offering a "clean" alternative, and we came up with the slogan: "GerlMail Friendship Service - guaranteed: NO immoral approach! " 

Our Friendship service has become quite popular with women. People, who come here by mistake - trying to find "the special adventure" (you know exactly what we are talking about...) - consider us "narrow-minded" and are articulating that quite bluntly. 

Also, in the course of a few years, we became friends with a very dear person, whom we happened to meet in a message forum. The way this friendship started and grew inspired the concept for our friendship service.

Our goal is to initiate genuine and permanent friendships between people who are interested in meaningful conversations. In our present time, as the American "hire and fire"-mentality is penetrating all areas of life, it is our own personal opinion that humans need reliable, long-term friendships. We highly appreciate our friends and the meaning they have in our lives, and in the same way we want to be trustworthy partners to them at all times.

No: -) We value friendships and do not encourage to change them like shirts. Someone who is searching for a large quantity of e-mail addresses does not appear to be truly interested in finding genuine, permanent friendships. For the protection of our members from annoyances and abuse of any kind, we do not forward any address information, without at the same time informing the other person and forwarding the the application info of that new friend to him as well. 

Usually, we provide (as suitable candidates are available in the database) about three contacts per member. In case there is an "idle" contact (someone who does not answer) among those three, you'll get another one. After six months or so, we are asking by e-mail whether the provided contacts are still going on or not. Your Feedback is very important to us - especially since we are not a conventional chat agency and do not want to adapt our services to that or others.  

In case you have already been given three partners and we are receiving another application which "perfectly fits" your interests, we will first ask you whether you are willing to start another friendship, before we make the contact.

We definitely do NOT want to be a romantic contact service. This is hopefully made very clear in our netiquette and regulations. The Internet is flooded with flirt service, anyway. Someone who absolutely wants to insist on being given a contact to a member of the other gender can gladly participate in one of them. 

This decision was made right after we received the first application - one that made us wonder a lot... We do not at all want to contribute to people being hurt, abused or offended in any way, and that is the ultimate reason for our netiquette being like it is and why we strictly punish violations of our netiquette.
